Caesar's Triangle
Julius Caesar inherited a map of Britain in 51BC that provides several clues.
Caesar's Triangle
This map was looked at recently by Adrian Gilbert who added several mathematical computations. Although
too complex for inclusion here (please see The Measure of Albion / Heath
& Michell) a key observation is that these measurements were inherited by Caesar
from Druidic authors. This authorship demonstrates not only highly sophisticated
surveying accuracy (remarked on by Caesar), yet also in the divisions of the
north-south course hint at something altogether more astonishing that is the
'musical nature' of the geometry. This is better explained in The Measure of
Albion and taken up in The Perpetual Choir,
where a decagon ring of sites kept constant song.
